Welcome to CTO Insights #20!
I hope you are all enjoying the first Sunday morning in 2021! Wishing you a happy, truly successful New Year to you, and your family. May all your dreams come true, and all your hopes are fulfilled! 🎊🎊🎊 I took some time to reflect and analyze how things got developed with CTO Insights, last year and I was amazed by some of the stats - thank you all. One of the things I figured out is that the majority of the audience is technical founders and/or engineers with an interest in entrepreneurship. That is why, as of this issue, I’m introducing a new section - Entrepreneurship.
This week’s favorite: What Happens When the 1% Go Remote, 23 Effective Ways to Motivate Employees, and more.

How can you help? Share CTO Insights (http://insights.toshotrajanov.com/) on Twitter and recommend it to your network - it’s the best way to keep the community growing. Don’t forget the click thumbs up/down to rate this week’s issue. Enjoy, Tosho

What Happens When the 1% Go Remote
Miami and Austin are becoming the next big tech hubs. With remote work becoming mainstream, there’ll be a huge shift happening in the economies. For example, when the billionaire hedge funder David Tepper left New Jersey for Miami in 2015, he left a crater in New Jersey’s budget that experts estimate was upwards of $100 million annually 🤯 It doesn’t take very many ultra-wealthy Americans changing their address to wreak havoc on cities’ finances. This is one of the best stories I’ve run across. It is a must-read.
